To make sure you have adequate insurance coverage for quilts submitted for competition or exhibits.
To provide your family with a record of the value of a quilt you made for them.

Choose this option when you want a quilt valued for insurance or for sale. You and I will meet in person where I’ll examine and measure the quilt. Afterwards, you’ll receive documentation that describes the quilt pattern, age, any outstanding features, as well as the current market value.
Time needed: About 30 minutes
Review
$20/hour
Choose this option when you have a group of quilts that you’d just like to know more about. We’ll get together to discuss quilt patterns, fabrics, history, and creation date.

About Me
My love of quilts started in childhood when my great grandmother showed me a biscuit quilt she made when she was young. That was 50 years ago, and since then, in addition to making quilts, I’ve studied all things quilts: fabrics, patterns, history, and the stories of people who make them.
Quilts, more than any other art, combine the skill and imagination of their maker with their care and love. And now, as a quilt appraiser, I’m proud to have a chance to help people value that work.
